MIL-SPEC American Flag. The same flag U.S. Armed Forces fly around the world.  This is an interesting U.S. Flag. It is flown from Army Posts and also large U.S. Navy vessels. 

Here is what we have found through experience: This MIL SPEC Army Post Flag is made from 70-denier nylon.  70-denier nylon is very lightweight and very strong, for a short period of time.  In an extreme wind environment that is perfect, since all other materials like polyester-2 and 200-denier nylon would last but a fraction. 

We love this Flag.  It is awesome. However in normal winds, this 70-denier U.S. Flag is like a racehorse plowing fields. It looks great doing it, but will wear out faster then a plow horse.  As such, we recommend this 70-denier MIL SPEC U.S. Flag for those of you who are looking for the highest visibility and best looking medium size U.S. Flag.  Also for those of you in extreme wind environments.

For those of you who are looking for longest duration on the pole in non-extreme winds, then the polyester-2 version of the 8.95' x 17' 10834 U.S. Flag  is recommended, although less visable from a distance.
